Howard Menger,
a unique and talented man has for many years owned and operated his own sign advertising business, dabbled in inventions and
art and authored a book recounting his experiences which, early in 1965 alerted the entire east coast to the phenomenom of
unidentified flying objects.
Howard was born in 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, later moved to New Jersey
and was educated in public schools in that state. He worked in Pecatinny Arsenal as a munitions handler and inspector.
In 1942 he enlisted in the army where he was assigned to the Armored Tank Division. He later worked with Army Intelligence
and Chemical Warfare. After his discharge from the army in 1946, he established the Menger Advertising Co., in Washington
and High Bridge, New Jersey where he was in business for twenty years. He formed his own company: Energy Systems Research,
Inc. to do basic research in electromagnetic energy and to promote several of his inventions including an emergency powerpack.
In 1956 Menger photographed "flying saucers" in a field in back of his farm in High Bridge, New Jersey,
and the story and events which surrounded those photographs resulted in several cross-country lecture tours and his book "From
Outer Space To You".
